Marriage & Family Therapist
This week, Ira spoke with Marriage and Family Therapist Kimberly Malloy. In this jam packed episode of Ira’s Everything Bagel, Kimberly talks about why she decided to become a therapist; why “we are all little kids in big peoples’ bodies”; the profound allegory of the white belt; how she can sit in empathy with clients and yet recognize that she is not their “savior”; why her job is to be curious; why she believes “we are in the cusp of a mental health crisis”; why gratitude rewires the brain and why writing a gratitude list is extremely powerful; the importance of self-compassion; and the book that she promises to write.
