Noshing With Chris Raney – October 21, 2021

Host, YouTube channel, “Yellow Productions”

This week, Ira spoke with Chris Raney, host of the YouTube Channel, “Yellow Productions.”  In this peripatetic episode of Ira’s Everything Bagel, Chris talks about how he got the travel bug; why he created a travel video channel on YouTube, which features fun, informative, and entertaining travel guides to practically anywhere in the world; how he balances his own travel with shooting video for the channel; why some people are hesitant to travel; why “yellow”?; top three tips to stay organized while traveling; how he can produce so many videos; his focus on live-streaming and taking questions from viewers; and his best tip for dealing with jet lag.

Chris got started making online travel videos in 2004 to share with friends and family, but then took to YouTube in 2008. He spends hours every week researching and shooting informative videos to allow curious travelers to make informed decisions about where to go, where to stay, what to eat, and what to do in a destination. Chris’s goal is to be as detailed and infomative as possible while still being fun!

He is  a resident and native of Southern California, but can often be seen traveling the world and reviewing hotels with his panda buddy & co-star “Topher,” who is the other half of his name, Chris + Topher = Christopher.

“What sets bagels apart from other types of bread is the fact that they are boiled. Some imitations are steamed, but they do not have the same chewy and crunchy crust and are not true bagels.” – betweenroundsbagels.com
